The SET100 list is compiled by the Start Up Energy Transition, a partnership platform between the German Energy Agency and the World Energy Council. The list forms the first round in the SET Award, a global competition to find the five most promising start-ups and young companies with innovative business models in the fields of energy transition and climate protection. In the last four years, the Award has received more than 2300 entries from companies worldwide.
re.alto has been selected for the SET100 list under the category of Energy Distribution and Storage. Other categories for 2021 include Clean Energy Generation, Demand-side Innovation, Smart Mobility and Transportation and Quality Access and SDG-7.
Alexandre Torreele, re.alto’s CEO, said: “With applicants from more than 90 countries, re.alto’s selection is fantastic recognition of the great work that our team is doing in the field of energy data and digital transformation. We truly believe that energy data holds the key to achieving a zero-carbon future for our industry, and our API data marketplace is enabling straightforward, cost-effective access to that data for energy companies across the value chain.”
Having successfully made the SET100 list, re.alto will now progress to the next stage of the SET Award competition, the winners of which will be announced later this year.
