Remote position with frequent visits to Brussels and Berlin
re.alto is a startup originating from the Elia Group, TSO in Belgium and Germany. In 2020, we launched our Marketplace for the exchange of data and services in the energy sector. Currently, we’re working on our Connect product, facilitating data exchange and connectivity for energy devices.
 
Our initial focus is on the B2B players active in renewable energy generation and home energy management in Germany, United Kingdom, France, The Netherlands and Belgium. No matter what electrical vehicle is charging, what solar panel, batteries or energy meter is installed, we’re connecting all brands and types, normalising, aggregating, steering. On the other end we connect with optimization services, facilitate onboarding and consent management processes, provide dashboarding and alerting. We’re a data backbone for energy devices so to say. What we’re looking for

re.alto is looking for a Junior Business Development Manager to help us with the delivery of our key projects to customers, identifying new business opportunities and evolving our business model from start-up to scale-up. To ensure a high-quality delivery of our product and good market-fit connection, we’re looking for a broad scope talent to help us understand our customers, ensure delivery, refine the product requirements and negotiate with the necessary OEMs to deliver.

Your responsibilities

Delivery to the client

Your primary focus will be to manage multiple client projects end-to-end to deliver a product in accordance to client needs and expectations. You will structure and coordinate the work internally with the Product and Development team. You are the driving force behind your projects, clearing any obstacles before they materialize.

Understanding customers

During your project work, you will acquire customer feedback and engage actively in the product design and product prototyping. You will help to establish a sales network of prospects, clients and partnerships in our core markets. You will develop an understanding of the value creation levers in our market thanks to your interaction with customers and your knowledge in the energy markets. You will help to identify opportunities to improve existing or create new business models.

On-boarding data providers

You will participate in establishing a partner network of OEM data providers, engaging in sales negotiations with clients and OEMs, mapping the ecosystem of the various areas of high energy appliances (EV, heat pumps, solar inverters, water heaters, batteries,…) to identify the players, business processes and contractual setup.

Contributing to the company and product

You will be an integral part of our company and brand from day one. As such you will help build our brand and company image through various channels and public events.

Your profile

  • You are an entrepreneur and thrive under uncertainty

  • You are acquainted with digital technology and curious to know more
  • You hold a Master degree in energy engineering
  • You have 2+ years experience in electricity markets
  • You are fluent in English; German/French/Dutch is a plus
  • You have excellent communication skills
  • You are able to manage complex projects
  • You have a hands-on, no-nonsense approach to challenges

Our offer

We are a remote first company based in Brussels and Berlin. In your role, you will be asked to travel throughout Europe to engage with customers/partners and the rest of the team on a regular basis.
